A simple, elegant appetizer with only five ingredients! You could do so many different variations of fruits and nuts with these as well, but this pear and walnut version with a hint of honey is delicious! Recipe credit: Martha Stewart
Serves: 16 small or 8 large pieces
- 1/2 baguette
- 1 1/4 c. Ricotta cheese
- Pear slices
- Walnut pieces
- Salt & Pepper
- Cut baguette into half inch slices and place on baking sheet. Broil on low a few minutes, watching carefully not to burn, until crostini are crisp and lightly toasted.
- Divide ricotta cheese among crostini.
- Top each piece with several ripe pair slices and some walnut pieces.
- Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with honey. Serve immediately.
