Pear & Ricotta Crostini

A simple, elegant appetizer with only five ingredients! You could do so many different variations of fruits and nuts with these as well, but this pear and walnut version with a hint of honey is delicious! Recipe credit: Martha Stewart

Pear & Ricotta Crostini

Serves: 16 small or 8 large pieces

  • 1/2 baguette
  • 1 1/4 c. Ricotta cheese
  • Pear slices
  • Walnut pieces
  • Honey
  • Salt & Pepper
  1. Cut baguette into half inch slices and place on baking sheet. Broil on low a few minutes, watching carefully not to burn, until crostini are crisp and lightly toasted. 
  2. Divide ricotta cheese among crostini.
  3. Top each piece with several ripe pair slices and some walnut pieces.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with honey. Serve immediately.
